Welcome to this new historical resource!
Thornbury at War is a site created by the children at Crossways Junior School, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. On 11th November 2005 the children invited family, friends and members of the local community into school for a special history morning. The children interviewed our guests and created this on-line record of the extraordinary stories they told us.
We hope that you find the memories of those who experienced one of the most dramatic periods of Britain's history as interesting and inspiring as we did.
